President Jonathan To Visit Flood Ravaged States

 

According to the Daily Post Nigeria, Our President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will today embark on the first-phase of an inspection tour of Nigerian states affected by the flood.

In the phase, President Jonathan will visit flooded parts of Kogi State, Anambra State, Delta State, Bayelsa State and Rivers State.

The tour will start after the inauguration of the committee he set up to raise relief funds to the victims of the flood.

The committee, styled , National Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation, established as part of measures by the Federal Government to provide urgent succour and relief to victims of devastating floods across the country, was announced by Jonathan in a broadcast to Nigerians Tuesday.

It has Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mr. Olisa Agbakoba as its Co-Chairmen and Mike Adenuga as the chief fund mobilizer.
