Halloween is on the 31st, this month.
I was at Club Movida Nigeria about two years back. I'd gone dancing with a friend of mine and we didnt know it was Halloween. My experience was unforgettable. We..
had seen a movie at The Palms Lekki before heading for the club on Idowu Taylor Street Victoria Island. This would be our second visit to the posh club. Their music was good and that was all that mattered. I just wanted to dance!
We stumbled out of the car and approached the club. And that was when we saw two giant
There was this huge man in the sickest devil's cape and mask. He looked like he ran the club. His mask was so mean that when he welcomed us with a sage nod and his huge red fork, i held my breath.
We could hear Michael Jackson's Thriller playing loudly as we entered inside. The AC was at its fullest and you could see white smoke rising from the floor.
We found a seat and looked around silently. So many thoughts running through our heads. There were bartenders and floor managers in bizzare evil costumes. The interior was frightening and their makeup and costumes was excellent. The ladies and men serving drinks had fangs, tails and claws.
As we looked around, we became more relaxed, there were plenty men and women in costumes and ordinary clothes too. They were drinking, dancing, chatting and just having fun.
Looking back, i remember how i and my big buddy burst into shaky laughter as we drove off two hours later.
What an adventure! It was totally new to us. We would never do it again!!
Who has celebrated Halloween? I'd love to hear from you.
